CorGlaes® Ag is part of the CorGlaes® Active range. It is a powerful antimicrobial that delivers pure silver ions precisely at the point of need. The links on the right show how Corglaes® Ag creates a small zone of inhibition between the organisms (seen as streaks across each plate) and the test product. The ions released from Corglaes® Ag do not tend to migrate as they bind quite strongly with their surroundings stabilising as oxides, salts and organo-metallic complexes. Few “antimicrobial silver” products release silver ions at a sufficiently consistent rate to show these zones. Corglaes® Ag allows every atom of silver present to be released as an antimicrobial silver ion.
